My favorite wines are from Burgundy. Love Nicolas Potel wines. I don’t drink very many burgundies due to the ridiculous prices Cote’dOr brings. I had the 2004 Nicolas Potel Clos Rousseau from Santenay, and reviewed it on Cork’d. Great wine considering the vintage was pretty crappy. The thing I love the most is the aromas- very distinct and unique compared to Cali pinot. Consistency wise, I stick to Cali and Oregon pinot though.

…yeah, Burgundian wines are generally on the pricey side, but no questioning the quality. As far as New World Pinot, we have plenty that we love and if I could spend more time in Oregon wine country… I certainly would!!
