HHHUUGGEEE Vinho Verde fan! I love Caldo Verde soup as well. There is a italian version that is similar and made with italian sausage and pancetta instead of portuguese sausage. Vinho verde pairs well with both types of soup. Also pairs super well with seafood and light chicken dishes. Vinho verde is the closest thing I think one can get to Cava Joven from Catalonia which is big in the bodegas/tapas bars of that area (enjoyed a lot of that during my honeymoon last year). Try vinho verde and spanish anchovies=delicious (or Brut cava and anchovies).

Hey Aaron… I gotta say; there’s nothing wrong with a crisp, refreshing white wine that wet’s your whistle and costs around ten bucks. I’m gonna try the pairing with anchovies and get back to you!
