I read a lot about the synth cork, and how it is supposedly a better seal, but I always feel a bit let down when I cut away the foil cap, and see that rubbery looking stopper! Screw caps are a far worse offense! But, really, when it comes down to it, for me... if the wine is good, I can excuse the stopper... I’m with you on the synth cork.
