Winnebago Wine #3
May 27, 2009 by Neil

…it was the last bottle we had in the RV’s icebox; and then there were none… It was the 2005 Neal Family Vineyards Napa Cabernet... and it was good.
The wine had a beautiful dark ruby red color, and lots of secondary characteristics on the nose: coffee, chocolate and tobacco- intoxicating. I took a healthy sip and was struck by the bright, juicy red fruit… plums & berries… and there were those complex layers of coffee, chocolate and tobacco, as promised. It was a substantial mouth-feel, nice tannins and a loooooong finish.
It was our last bottle on our last night in wine country… and it was good.
