Wine Rocks…

…just ask Maynard James Keenan, front man for rock bands TOOL and A PERFECT CIRCLE.   He is also very much involved in the wine world…

When he’s not on stage or in the recording studio, you can probably find Maynard at one of his wine interests in the state of Arizona:  he is the owner of Merkin Vineyards and  Caduceus Cellars and a partner in Arizona Stronghold Vineyards.  The wine has been well received and well regarded (the Caduceus 2005 Nagual Del Sensei scored a 90 from Wine Spectator).

On a recent Tuesday morning in Tuscon, Maynard was signing autographs.  But it wasn’t CD covers or t-shirts he was signing.  It was bottles of the latest vintage from Arizona Stronghold Vineyards. He and partner Eric Glomski were at the local Whole Foods Market to promote the wine, a tour that will take them through the Western United States signing bottles and spreading the word.
