In a new study conducted by Yale’s school of medicine, wine drinkers suffering from a form of blood cancer are less likely to relapse or succumb to the cancer than non wine drinkers.

Yale researchers followed a group of women with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After five years, 76 percent of wine drinkers were still alive, compared with 68 percent of non-wine drinkers.  Prior studies have found that the anti-oxidants found in grapes help discourage the development of tumors. The article pointed out that liquor and beer did not produce the same effect.
