If you’ve been on the Expedition with us for a while, you probably remember the contest we had in December/January. Two lucky winners received a $50 gift card for K&L Wine Merchants.  I checked up on our two lucky winners and I’m happy to report they’re doing just fine…

Winner Ron let me know that he ordered a 2006 Girard Napa Petite Sirah and a Shiraz-Grenache from Australia, the 2006 Razor’s Edge. The Girard is a solid bottle (you know how much I enjoy a Petite Sirah), and Robert Parker gave it a 91.  I haven’t yet tried the Razor’s Edge, but the blend is intriguing and Wine Spectator gave it a 91 and named it a “smart buy”.   Ron’s wines should be arriving in the next week… Let us know how they drink Ron!
