Here at WineExpedition, we try to keep our finger on the pulse of technology. We’re all Mac-heads. we have Iphones, we use twitter (if you’re not following us, you should, and can by clicking here). But I have to say, I’ve never thought about emailing anyone a glass of wine; until now.
Facebook and MySpace have made it easy to send your friends quizzes, ‘little green patches’, super pokes and bloody marys. But now, using a new service called GiveReal is allowing folks to take it one step further… to a real bar. Using a credit card, you can buy a virtual drink for your friend and then an email is sent to the recipient. They log in and edit their credit card info, and they are credited the amount of the gift, and can use it whenever they’re ready to grab that drink. Check out the site for yourself…
Apparently, you can gift all the way up to the amount of $99, which means there’s definitely some decent wine to be gifted…
