Thanksgiving Wine… So Many Choices…

With the holidays upon us, this will be the first of many blog posts regarding wine with holiday meals, gifts, etc. Everyone loves the Thanksgiving meal; not just eating it, but preparing it, picking out the ingredients, the smells in the kitchen (I remember whenever my mom made her holiday cake, I couldn’t wait till she poured the batter into the baking dish so I could lick the spoon!) What about picking out the perfect bottle(s) for the holiday meal? There are so many choices, the bottle that seems to be the favorite in my circles is Riesling, but I’ve also heard Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay. If you don’t like white, I’ve heard Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and even Syrah are good choices, depending on your palate and on your Thanksgiving menu.
If you have any bottles that you’ve loved with your Turkey dinner, feel free to comment…
